Mary Louise Medellin
December 28, 1919 ~ July 18, 2014
Mary Louise Medellin, age 94, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2014. She was born on December 28, 1919 in San Antonio, Texas to Vincente and Juanita Medellin. She was surrounded with love and family by her bedside at home. Mary was blessed with many friends and will be missed for her great sense of humor and her crafty abilities. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers, son Arturo, son-in-law Johnny Trevino and grandson Adolph Trevino. Mary is survived by her brother Antonio Medellin, two daughters Herlinda (Nina) Trevino and Mary Lou (Dela) Cruz; son-in-law Ernest Cruz, and daughter-in-law Rosie Reyes. She had 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and 2 extended family members Allen and Bryan Rindfuss. The family extends its gratitude to the Altus Hospice Staff. Visitaion will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Meadowlawn Funeral Home (5611 East Houston San Antonio, Texas). The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:15 a.m., Friday, July 25th to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church (700 Dewhurst, San Antonio, Texas). Interment will follow at City Cemetery #1.

Mary was a remarkable women who demonstrated how to live with grace and kindness. My condolences to Nina, Dela, her extended family, Bryan, and Allen.
The Angels came to lead my Aunt Mary to join our Lord and all those that have preceded us. She was a remarkable Lady, I’ll always carry her in my heart. Blessings to my Cousins, Nina and Dela and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren & brother. May you find comfort in knowing she is at peace and deeply loved by all of us. She will always be with us in spirit. My prayers are with you. We have many, many great memories!
