Mary M. Vargas

Mary M. Vargas, 72, passed away in San Antonio, Texas on May 17, 2025. She was residing at Rosewood Rehabilitation Nursing Center at the time of her passing.  Mary was born on November 8,1952 in Fremont, Ohio to Francisco and Merced Vargas. She was one of ten children.

Mary attended the local schools and following high school she decided to serve her country and joined the U.S. Navy.  After serving her country she continued to live in San Diego for several years and later moved to San Antonio, Texas where she made her home.

She was a good-hearted person who was ready to help anyone who needed help. She is the aunt who babysat many of her nieces and nephews on many occasions and enjoyed spending time with family every chance she got. She was a funny person who spoke her mind.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Vargas and Merced Vargas, her siblings, Juanita Enriquez, Lupe Vargas, Sofia Bazaldua, Franciso Vargas, Jr., Justo Vargas, and Robert Vargas.   Mary will be truly missed by her brother, Ramiro Vargas;  Sisters,  Lucinda Vargas and Christina Vargas and Niece Gloria Billock along with many more nieces, nephews and Grand-nieces and Grand-nephews.
