Matia "Mary" L. Mendoza

Matia Luisa Mendoza was the only girl born to Bruno and Rosa Juarez Mendoza.  Matia was known by her family and all that knew her as Mary.

Mary was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 11, 1949 and attended the public schools in her area.  She was blessed with two children, Charlotte and Calvin whom she loved dearly.

Mary was a hard worker and a great provider for her family.  She worked many years at Litho Press until she retired.  Having gone down some rocky roads and struggles herself she learned not to judge others.  She met people where they were and if she could help you or lead you to something better she would.  Mary would regularly go to food banks or distribution facilities and pick up commodities.  She would take them to her neighborhood and distribute them to all who needed them.  This was what she was doing on Saturday, September 14th, preparing to make her deliveries when the Lord called her home.

Mary loved and was loved by her children, Charlotte Mendoza and Cavin Green; sibling, Raymond Martinez, Sr. (Frances), Ruben Martinez (Theresa) and Pedro “Pete” Martinez; grandchildren, Ashley, Victoria, Kyle Anthony, Courney, La’Shae, Courtesie and James and great grandchildren.  Mary loved and was loved by her nieces and nephews and their children along with many neighbors and friends.
