Melvin Yates

Melvin Dale Yates, born May 2, 1934, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2009 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella Yates and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Flesher of Hope, Arkansas and Rachel Turner of Nashville, Arkansas, as well as his four daughters, Debbie Cartwright and husband, Mike Cartwright, of San Antonio, Theresa and Nixon Lange of Aurora, Colorado, Deanna and Brad Rademachir of Austin, Texas and Tammy and Cecil Lee of Centennial, Colorado. He had seven grandchildren, Brenda, Dygert, Gray and Grant Lange, Rachel and Rebecca Lee and Caroline and Lindsey Rademachir. He also had five adorable great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army in 1955-1957 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He then had a long career with Atlantic Richfield for over 25 years.Memorial services are pending for later this week at American Mortuary, 5611 E. Houston Street in San Antonio, Texas.
