With deep gratitude for life well lived, we remember Michael James Siverand, age 51, who passed away on October 23, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
He left a legacy of kindness, resilience and joy that touched countless lives. He was born in Taft, Texas on August 31, 1973. Michael was the second son of Lillie Mae and James Siverand. He attended Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas.
From an early age, Michael displayed a remarkable heart for compassion and determination to be successful in his life, whether it was through helping out family and friends or pursing his next goal. Michael embraced each moment with optimism and courage. Michael was a devoted caregiver to his mother, Lillie Mae and his favorite uncle, Morris James “Unk”. He truly inspired those around him. Michael’s greatest moments were spent with family cherishing each moment. He enjoyed watching his two older sons grow up and then doing it all over again with his youngest son. His greatest achievement that made him most proud was finally becoming a girl dad. Oh how he loved spoiling his girls with gifts and love. For over a decade Michael kept the tradition of family time on Sundays with his closet friends and family. His life was filled with adventures with his wife and children exploring the world. His spontaneity led him on road trips cross country just to bring joy to his loved ones. Michael led his life by example, offering words of wisdom, lending a hand or embracing challenges fearlessly. He was a hard worker spending the last twelve years working as a machine operator at John B. Sanfillippo & Sons, Inc.
Michael is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Azalia Eliserio Siverand of San Antonio, Texas; children, Michael James Siverand, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Rasheem (Amber) Morgan of Oceanside, California, Milkaza Siverand, Nylah Siverand, Semaj Siverand, all of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Siverand, III, Mila Morgan, Haiden Morgan and Ma’zayah Siverand; brothers, Jimmie James (Minnie) Siverand of San Antonio, Texas and John David Siverand of San Antonio, Texas; God-daughter, Torinice Davis of San Antonio, Texas and his bonus son, Tavin “Mookie” Griffith of San Antonio, Texas along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother, Lille Mae Siverand and his Uncle Morris James Cunningham.
Michael was well loved by all he encountered.
The family would like to thank all for the prayers offered up for Michael James Siverand, more importantly, Michael would want you to know that he is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
