Nora Mae Williams

Nora Mae Williams, 84, went on to her heavenly home May 16, 2024. She was born November 18, 1939 in Gonzales, Texas to SD Harvey Sr. and Gertrude McNeil Harvey. She grew up as part of a big family as she was one of twelve children. Nora attended Ralph Bunche High School in Waelder, Texas. She then met and married Mr. Herman Williams and to this union, daughter Pearly Williams was born.

Nora was a stay-at-home mother and also worked as a nurse’s assistant. Her role as a mother was the most important to her. She loved her daughter beyond measure. Nora made sure to instill her strong faith and beliefs to her daughter. She was a member of Tried Stone Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents, SD Harvey Sr. and Gertrude Harvey; former husband, Herman Daniel Williams; siblings, SD Harvey Jr., Maynard Harvey, Fred Harvey, Doug, Willie, Mitchell Harvey, Essie Mae Brown, Myrtle B. Johnson and Luella McNeil.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy is her beloved daughter, Pearly Williams; granddaughter, Zazjah Dennard; great-grandson, Kaiden Allen Dennard; sisters, Gerthie (Charles) Pettit and Cloma Harvey; former son-in-law, George Dennard; special friend, Elmara Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
