Pablo M. Estebane passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 82 years old.
Born on July 12, 1942, in Acuña, Mexico, to Jose and Julia M. Estebane, Pablo carried with him the values of hard work, humility, and love for family throughout his life. He met his beloved wife, Juana, in San Antonio, Texas—a meeting that would blossom into 54 years of deep, enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with devotion and raised two sons, Pablo Jr. and Oscar.
Pablo dedicated many years of his life to Wilbert Vault Co., where he worked until his well-earned retirement. But even after retiring, he was rarely still. A true jack of all trades, Pablo found joy in keeping busy—always fixing, building, or tinkering. His hands were rarely idle, whether he was working on a project around the house or crafting something special in his workshop.
When he did take a break from his projects, Pablo loved to travel and fish. There was peace for him in those quiet moments by the water, a simple joy that matched his down-to-earth spirit. He also deeply enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Sophie, and grand-pet, Rosie.
Pablo was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a steady brother, and a loyal friend. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dominga Estebane. He is survived by his cherished wife, Juana H. Estebane; his sons, Pablo Estebane Jr. and his wife, Yvette, and Oscar Estebane and his wife, Maria; granddaughter, Sophie Estebane; step-granddaughters, Andrea and Rayanna; his sisters, Juana E. Barrientos, Valentina Estebane, “Cuca” Estebane, and Rosa M. Rico; and his brothers, Enrique Estebane, Oscar M. Estebane, and Macedonio Estebane, along with a large extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Pablo’s legacy lives on in the love he gave so freely, the example he set with his quiet strength, and the memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew him.
