Our dearest Quinten Ashley Mason was called home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2024. Quinten was born on November 7, 1973 in San Antonio, TX to Carl Gene Mason and Margaretha Emilie Thüm Mason. He was the second oldest amongst the 4 children (Michael Mason, Raven Mason, and Romen Mason). Quinten grew up in San Antonio, TX where he attended Herman Hirsch Elementary School, and graduated with Honors at Sam Houston High School in 1992. He graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science in 1997.
Quinten pursued a career in Tulsa, OK as a Field/Project Engineer at Flint Energy Construction. He left Tulsa, OK to be a Cost Estimator for HC Beck Ltd. in San Antonio, TX. Quinten went to work for AEES, formerly known as Alcoa Electrical & Electronic Solutions, as a Cost Estimator in San Antonio, TX. He later pursued a career as a Field Service Coordinator with TEREX Services and continued his career there until the Lord called him home.
The Lord gave Quinten supernatural intelligence. He had a wealth of wisdom, knowledge, and resources. Quinten had great skills in electrical, mechanics, carpentry, and construction. There weren’t many areas in which he didn’t have some knowledge. But most of all, Quinten was gifted to bring people together with his peace, humor, and love that he always continued to live out since the beginning. Nonetheless, he shares his knowledge and advice to help every one of us to better ourselves moving forward. He always helps those in need. Quinten is the one whom anyone can count on to be available to assist.
Quinten accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior and was baptized on October 7, 2001.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gene Mason, and his mother, Margaretha Mason.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Erika Mason, his two daughters: Morgan & Brooke Mason, his three siblings: Michael Mason, Romen Mason, and Raven Mason, and his dearly loved family and friends in the United States as well as his family in his mother’s hometown in Bremerhaven, Germany.

May God bless the Mason family during this difficult time. I had an opportunity to known and Coach Quinten at Sam Houston High School. Quinten was always a gentleman off the field. It was pleasure to coach such a fine young man. He was always very respectful. I would have the defensives player come to my home to go over the defensives game plans. My wife would prepare a meal, Quinten would bring her flowers.
