Randy Scott Jones, 61, passed away on October 7, 2026. He was born on January 6, 1965, in Galveston, Indiana, to Robert Lee Jones and Carol Sue Knapp.
Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for family was at the center of his life. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Carrie Jones, and together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He was the proud father of Megan Simpson (and husband Keith), Eric Anderson, Peter Anderson, Payton Grogan (and husband Ben), Taylor Jones (and fiancée Kerry Shanklin), and Ashleigh Jones. Randy’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchild, Harley Redding, who held a very special place in his heart.
Randy had a lifelong passion for sports. He enjoyed watching college and professional sports, and was a dedicated fan of Notre Dame as well as the Green Bay Packers, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Whether gathering with family to watch a game, or discussing sports with friends, his enthusiasm was contagious and brought people together.
Those who knew Randy will remember his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures, such as cooking meals for his family, gardening, and loving on his pups. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents who welcomed him into eternal rest, and is survived by his wife, children, grandchild, extended family, and many friends who will continue to honor his memory.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear.”

Randy Scott Jones will be remembered with love and gratitude, and his legacy will live on through the family and friends whose lives he touched.
