Rashad Bateman, 45 of San Antonio, Texas, was born on May 2, 1979, and gained his wings on December 8, 2024. We mourn the passing of Rashad who was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many while here on earth.
Rashad was a family man, and his family was very important to him. He was also a hard worker. Rashad dedicated 17 years of service to Unifirst. If you truly knew him, you would know just how much he loved his job. Rashad never wanted to miss a day at work. While employed with Unifirst, Rashad was promoted to “Team Lead” in 2022, and also had the honor to be recognized as “Employee of the Year,” which was awarded on July 14, 2023. He was an outstanding employee, and very proud of his accomplishments. Your Unifirst family loved you, and you are truly missed by your fellow colleagues.
“Job Well Done!”
In 2011, he met his soulmate, Yolanda Stewart. They married on September 5, 2015, sharing a wonderful union of 9 years, and raising their children together.
In his spare time, Rashad always looked forward to spending quality time with his family, shopping, taking trips, cooking, decorating the home, watching movies, and taking his naps. He was also a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Rashad lived every day to the fullest, because he always seemed to find the good in any situation. He would always remind us with the saying, “It could be worse.” Rashad’s bright spirit, and love for life and family, will be forever be cherished.
We thank you for all your love and wonderful memories we have shared with you. May you now rest in heavenly peace as your honorable deeds have been accomplished here on earth. You blessed many people as well as left a huge impact on the lives you touched.

my prayers go out to Rashad family. just stay strong.
To my wonderful niece, Yolanda, Parris and RJ, we love you very much and we’re thinking of you and praying for you today and everyday. To Rashad’s family and friends; our deepest sympathy and prayers for your strength and peace of mind. We know that true comfort and strength comes from God, but the love and support of family and dear friends is also invaluable. May you always feel the presence and grace of God, and be encouraged by everyone who loves you and loves Rashad. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May Rashad rest in heavenly peace.
My heart will be forever broken. You finally received your angel wings. Untill you, I never knew what a real brother/cousin was. I will always love you. I will never forget how you always said” let me see those pearly whites cousin, I love to see you smile”. You can rest now brother/cousin. When I can’t sleep at night, just brush against my forehead with your angel wings. I will know everything will be ok. I will never forget your brotherly love. I will always love you.
I was heartbroken to hear about the loss of Rashad. Please know that you are in my thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Rashad was such a kind and wonderful person, and I hope you can find comfort in the memories you shared together. If there is anything I can do—whether it’s offering support, a listening ear, or simply being there for you—please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you strength and peace in the days ahead.
With deepest sympathy,
Your Cousin Sherice Brown

““Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
John 14:1-3
