July 31, 1961 ~ February 14, 2025

Born in: Mobile, Alabama
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

Raymond Charles Harris was born in Mobile, Alabama on July 31, 1961. As a young child, his family relocated to San Antonio, Texas where he called home until his eternal rest on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. Raymond was an easy-going man who was always seen smiling and enjoyed making others laugh. He always knew how to release the tension by cracking jokes to lighten the mood. Raymond dedicated his life to working at the H-E-B Warehouse for 38 years. He was a team member of the Alamo City Pool League where he participated in many tournaments over the years. Raymond was also a major sports fan. He played football and ran track for Highlands High School. In adulthood, he enjoyed spending his pastime cheering for his Texas teams alongside his friends.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Nicole Harris (Ian Forbes); granddaughter, Javauna Harris; two sisters, Dianne Harris and Barbara Harris; three nieces, Danielle Harris, Dimetra Harris (Robert Davis), and Eliza Harris; two great-nephews, Darius Davis (Mya Sneed), and Kahlil Davis; and one great-great niece (and newest addition to the family), Brielle Davis. Raymond also leaves behind many, many friends who became his family throughout the years.
Raymond has joined a heavenly reunion with missed loved ones; his mother, Eliza Harris; his father Shelton Harris Jr; and two brothers Arthur Cherry and Shelton Harris III.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageTo the Harris Family, Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We have been friends…more like family for many years. We know how important Raymond was to your family and how much he was loved. I remember his smile and how athletic he was at Highlands just like Shelton was. May the wonderful memories help with healing as you mourn the loss of yet another Brother.

You’re in our prayers with Love

  2. CandleImageI do remember the love that the Harris Family showed the children of Peck St. We would always play baseball in the street and after that we would all go to the Harris house and laugh and joke around until our mother would call us to come home. We were a little family on Peck st. And Raymond was a good kid. He always had his beautiful smile. He will be sadly missed. But remembered by all that knew him. May God put his hands on this family. Raymond is resting now in Heaven. God bless you!! Love you all Deborah Nobles Scipio.
