Richard A. Roberts, Sr, born in Tacoma, Washington Sept. 03, 1954 passed away in San Antonio, Texas May 04, 2013 at the age of 58. He lived most of his life in San Antonio. He was an avid bowler in the past, as well, as an accomplished golfer. He was the daddy of 4, father of 3, and grandfather of 2. He has been married to JoAnna for over 25 years. He preceded in death, his mother, Velma (Cookie), his father, Donald, his sister, Kathryn, and his brother, Michael. He had several strokes, in the past year, but was getting back to his old self, when He was called Home. He worked in the Aerospace Industry for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, JoAnna, his children Ja'Net & her husband Mark Plumley, Renee' & her partner Matthew Gonzales, Danis and RJ, and his grandchildren, Tyler Trent Payne and Christopher Matthew Gonzales. He has a Sister in Israel, Donna Roberts Shkedi. Richard worked hard to take care of his family. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed cooking, both indoors and outdoors. He was always the first in line to man the grill at family gatherings and nothing was more important to him than making sure that everyone, whether friend or family, had a full stomach and enjoyed their meals. He enjoyed teaching his children card games, helping them with their math homework and showing off his knowledge of Oldies and Classic Rock music. With Organ & Tissue Donation, he will be helping over 150 people. There will be a Memorial Service at River City Community Church on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 6:30pm
