My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family throughout this traumatically, emotional time. I had the pleasure of meeting Richard one Thanksgiving day many years ago at my comadre, Josie’s house. Sal was just a boy who laughed and played with my own babies. And I know how much he loved and looked up to his dad. Sal, you can still look up to him in the skies above for he is only a whisper away just like my dad is. And, Richie, you’ll think of him often just in little everyday things that your own children do or say, like mini little characteristics of your father. Smile all…because you had this special man in your lives for a time and that time was a special gift from God. Remember, life is short and gone in the blink of an eye. Take nothing for granted and live each day as if it were your last. God bless you Richard, Josie, Richard’s parents, and the “boys”, and all those who were privileged to have received his love. From my family to yours, our utmost condolences.
Richard although I had not seen you in the last few years I’m glad we had a chance to talk while you were in the hospital and share some special moments. I’m also glad we spoke the day you left us to go to heaven. I will miss you, and you will always be in my prayers. I love you. your cousin, Terry Brown
So long my KAFB brother. You will not be forgotten. God Bless you! Carlos Valdez Jr 76th Air Base Wing
My deepest condolences to the family. I will always remember Richard dressed like a cowboy. God bless.
All I workes with Richard as an Item Manager at Kelly. Had good times and most of the time we were getting in trouble with the supervisor something about not doing our “execptions”. Boy the good ol days! Boys, your dad loved you very much, he would always say “Herb, I need to take of and help the boys they need it”. Our prayers are with you. May he rest in peace.
Richard Battaglia was a father, son, husband, grandfather and great friend to many. I remember him as being a very energetic, good-times type of guy. Next time I have beer, I’ll remember to say “This one’s for Richard!!” His life will remain celebrated.
