Richard Daniel Rodriguez

Richard Daniel Rodriguez, a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, and cherished member of his family, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on September 28, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, to his loving parents, Richard Rodriguez and Maria Luz Gutierrez.

Known affectionately as Richey, he was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in the heritage that shaped him. He held a special connection to his Native American heritage and carried that pride throughout his life. Richey was a hardworking and dedicated man who believed in giving his best to everything he did. Those who knew him will remember his joyful spirit, kindness, and, above all, his big heart.

An outdoorsman at heart, Richey felt most at home fishing and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed working with his hands, especially when it came to cars. Music was an important part of his life, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with family and friends. Whether sharing a laugh, listening to music, or simply enjoying each other’s company, being surrounded by the people he loved brought him the greatest joy.

Richey had a warm and genuine personality that made him easy to love. His compassion and willingness to give his time to others left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. He had a way of bringing happiness to those around him and will be remembered for the care and devotion he showed to the people who mattered most.

Richey was preceded in death by his father, Richard Rodriguez, and his beloved sister, Maria Louisa Rodriguez.

To cherish his memory, Richey leaves behind his beloved mother, Maria Luz Rodriguez; his siblings, Mary Frances De La Rosa and her husband, Martin De La Rosa; Anthony Rodriguez; Andrew Rodriguez and his wife, Edna Longoria; Gregory Rodriguez; and Ann Perez and her husband, Pablo Perez. He also leaves behind his many cherished nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Though Richey’s journey on this earth has come to an end, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with us for a lifetime. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that love endures beyond death. He will live on in our stories, in our memories, and in the hearts of everyone blessed to have known and loved him.

Richey will be deeply missed, forever loved, and lovingly remembered—until we meet again.
