Richard Calhoun, Jr., passed away on May 1, 2013 at the age of 45. He was born on July 9, 1967 to Richard E. Calhoun, Sr. and Mary Helen Calhoun in Bryan, Texas. Richard was a 1988 graduate of South San Antonio High School. He worked in the schools, construction and most recently at Market Square. He loved to cook, tinker with automobiles and listen to music. He is predeceased by his mother, Mary Helen Calhoun. He is survived by his father, Richard Calhoun, Sr. and stepmother Avis as well as family members Brenda Knowles and Melvin Williams. He is also survived by aunts; Hazel Hays, Dorothy Hendrix, Mary Tolliver, Rosalynd Calhoun, Lucille Calhoun, Tommy Jane Williams and Betty Williams;uncles, Thomas Calhoun, Charles Williams and Andrew Williams and a host of other relatives and friends. Richard will be remembered fondly as a generous and caring friend and will be missed by all that knew him.

  3. Mr. Calhoun and family I am very sorry for your loss. Your son was very kind to my sisters and I. I fondly remember Richard taking care if me by beunging food to me as I worked nights as a gate guard at Lackland. He was very generous and always had a HUGE smile on his face.
