Robert Joseph Barry was born February 27, 1926 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to loving parents Paul Edward Barry and Gladys Hanson. He passed away the evening of March 30, 2023 at the age of ninety-seven, surrounded by his family, playing his favorite music.

Robert was nothing short of an extraordinary man. He served our Country fearlessly for several years, in both the United States Air Force and Navy. His tenacity and fighting spirit carried over well after his Combat days. Robert enjoyed gambling, horse racing, and spending time with his family, all of which he loved dearly.

Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife of over forty-five years Vera Anne Barry, both parents, as well as his children Victoria Barry, Cynthia Barry, Joseph Barry, Kimberly Barry and Jeffrey Barry. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Stephanie Cox, Jacqueline Barry, Rochelle Barry, son Michael Barry, and son-in-law Mark Cox. He is also survived by twenty grandkids, twenty-two great grandkids, and two great, great grandkids.

Robert leaves behind a life and legacy that will not soon be forgotten. He will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
