Robert was a good, fun-loving person who I had the pleasure of serving with in the U.S. Army. We worked hard and had some great times together. I am very sorry to hear about his passing and I hope his new adventures are even better in Heaven.
Hammy, We shared some great times, great tours, and lots of laughs. To his family, Hammy was a great guy and always kept us laughing. I only wished I had known you were in San Antonio, as I’m in Temple. We’ll all be laughing again. Bill French Temple, TX bpfrench@sbcglobal.net
Hammy, was a proud and dedicated warrior. The Lord will be sure to use him in his Holy Army. We “Duffies” will surely miss him. May God Bless you and your family. Russ(Froggy) LaVere
To Hammy – I enjoyed very much the short time I served with you. You are missed and will be missed. To Hammy’s family – Vari and my sincere condolonces on your loss. But Hammy will never be forgotten.
From an Ol’ Hawg to a Duffy, may you find peace. To his family, his passing is felt also by those that served with him. He shall be missed. Respectfully, Kenneth Long SSG, USA Retired 05 Hotel (Hawg)
Hammy was a great guy. I enjoyed all of the time spent with him on several tours, the last at Fort Devens. My heart aches for his family and I am sad to see him leave us. I wish that I could have spent more time with him and shared a few more laughs. Condolences to the family. He is in my thoughts and prayers.
I was Hammy’s Duffy Instructor and then we served as coworkers/instructors later years at Ft. Devens. What a GREAT guy! So many smiles and so much hard work. Hammy went to show that “dynamite comes in small packages”! We’ll miss ya brother; but, we’ll NEVER forget ya! Rest Peacefully.
