Roger Lee Montgomery was born on June 14, 1955 to Sedley R. Montgomery and Louise Montgomery in Danville, Illinois. He attended school in Danville, Illinois and he also attended San Antonio College. He worked hard his entire life which included over 18 years for Bexar County Precinct 4 as a Deputy Constable and he retired in 2018.
Roger Montgomery accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age. Hobbies included: hunting, fishing, archery, and he loved to cook and BBQ.
His memories will be forever cherished by surviving family and friends. He was preceded in heaven by his parents, and brothers John A. Davis and Sedley Norman Montgomery. He was survived by his wife Mattie Montgomery, and stepson Tony Dowson (grandchildren: TJ, Amber, Alysia), his brothers and sisters: Katherine Johnson, Marilyn Porter, James D. Montgomery, Berry Lee Montgomery, Sedley Rose Roberson, Carolyn Hill, Nadine Montgomery, Chestoria Moffett, and Mae Ethel Kirklon. Surviving family also include numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Montgomery fought the good fight he finished the race and is heaven smiling down on us.
