Roger Walter Sawyer passed away on July 12, 2009 at the age of 51. He was born on January 27, 1958. Roger is survived by his children, Roger A. Sawyer and wife, Monica, Andrea M. Sawyer, and Jason Medellin; mother, Cecilia Sawyer; siblings, Gerald Sawyer, Donna Cole, and Duane Sawyer. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center with Father Larry Brummer officiating.

I am very sorry for your loss. My mother cared deeply for Roger and wanted to be his savior. He will greatly be missed by her. Roger was fortunate to have a family that cared so much for him, through thick and thin. It was a pleasure to meet his family. One can only hope to be with our Father one day. I knew Roger from La Paz and he was a very sweet, polite man. He was considered part of our La Paz family and he will be missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family, and to Maureen Puckett who was his very dear friend. May your faith help you all through this very difficult time. God Bless!
I am so sorry to be so late in extending my sympathies to Rogers family, but I just learned of his passing. He had an incredible sense of humor, grace and spirit. Please let me know how and why he left so young and hoping his kids are ok. Take care…
