Ronald Francis Bowling, 73, passed away on August 15, 2026. He was born March 2, 1953, to Alvin and Marguerite Bowling.
Ron married his wife, Teressa, on March 16, 1973, and they shared more than 53 years of marriage together.
He is survived by his wife, Teressa Bowling, and children, Leticia Burt (Christopher Burt), Jessica Hart (Jason Hart), and Brandon Bowling (Megan Bowling); grandchildren Ashley James (Evyn Guerrero), Caleb Bowling, Allison James, Logan James, Alyssa Bowling, and Sophia Bowling; and great-grandchildren Jaxson Guerrero, Braxton Winter and Brooklyn James.
He is also survived by his siblings Robert Bowling (Betty), Roy Bowling (Marilee), Ann Garner, Judy Minnich, and Janet Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Shirley DeGlopper, Samuel Bowling, and Mervin Bowling.
Ron was a business owner and a man who could fix just about anything. He generously shared his knowledge with his children, grandchildren, and many others throughout the years.
He loved fishing, boating and always having a project to work on. He never met a stranger, loved telling stories, and was known for his generosity, friendliness, and willingness to help others.
More than anything, Ron loved his family. His knowledge, stories, kindness, and giving spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by everyone who knew him.
A memorial of Ron’s life will be held at Brookhill Baptist Church at 631 Utopia Ln., San Antonio, TX 78223 on Saturday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at his home at 9435 Old Corpus Christi Hwy., San Antonio, TX 78223 following the services.
For those wishing to send flowers or plants, please note that the funeral home is unable to accept deliveries, and the church can only receive them beginning one hour prior to the service. Deliveries may instead be sent to Teressa’s home, and arrangements have already been made to bring them to the church. Any plants received will be taken home by the family and planted in remembrance of Ronnie, where they can continue to grow as a lasting tribute to him.
