Roosevelt County Jr was born June 21, 1942 to  Roosevelt County, Sr and Lois Lorraine Reed in Hondo,  Texas.

Roosevelt grew up in Pearsall, Texas where he graduated from Pearsall High School. He was athletic and excelled in football.  Growing up, he spent a lot of time outdoors. He was a real cowboy.  He developed a strong love for horses that he never lost.  This love kept him busy , filled with joy and alive. In his early years he worked on a ranch in Hondo as a ranch hand for many years before moving to San Antonio. He went on to have successful careers with Sunbeam, Budweiser and Friedrich.

This cowboy also had plenty of dance moves earning him the nicknames of “Boogaloo” and “Boogie”. He danced his way into matrimony to Berker Lene Evans in 1968. Berker preceded him in death in 1999. In 2000, Roosevelt married Vivian Anderson, she preceded him in death in 2015.

Roosevelt loved roping!  He traveled around Texas going to Rodeos where he would team rope with different friends. On the 28th of November 2022, Roosevelt sustained a fall. With that fall, Roosevelt quickly declined. He fell asleep in peace on February 17, 2023.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt County, Sr; his mother, Lois Lorraine Reed; his twin brother and sister, Oliver K County, Opal Mae Mayo; his sister, Frances L. Johnson and his brothers: Leslie Reed County and Billy Joe Cooper.

Although Roosevelt loved children, he never had any children of his own.   Roosevelt is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. This cowboy will be missed by many.
