Bro. Roscoe Duhart, Jr. was born in Luling, TX to Roscoe Duhart Sr. and Elvida Duhart on September 12, 1929. He served in the United States Army for 2 years and was released with an Honorable Discharge. Bro. Roscoe Duhart was united in marriage to Sis. Rachel Thornton Duhart on July 10, 1979.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Elvida Duhart; father, Roscoe Duhart Sr.; brother, Edward Duhart; sisters, Buelah Wright, Marynell Duhart and Annie Mae Darden; one step-son, Larry Thornton; and one grandson, Nathan Haynes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Rachel Thornton Duhart; one brother, Artie Duhart of Corpus Christi, TX; one sister, Marth Johnson of San Diego, CA; 2 aunts and 2 uncles; 4 daughters, Mildred “Mickey” Nelson (Bob) of Wharton, TX, Carolyn Dawson (Rev. Dawson) of El Campo, TX, Janine Overton of Houston, TX and Garnell Haynes (Lorence) of San Antonio, TX; one step-son, Elmo Thornton, Jr. (Denise) of Dallas, TX; 5 step-daughters, Evangelist Carolyn Murray (Pastor C.E. Murray) of San Antonio, TX, Sandra McCook (Wayne) of Houston, TX, Betty Williams (Ernest) of Englewood, CA, Demetrice Haynes and Bessie King of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
