Rosie Vivier Gonzales

Rosie Vivier Gonzales was born to Juan and Virginia Gonzales on August 15, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas.  She was the oldest of eight children.  Rosie attended the San Antonio public schools to include East Central High School and graduated from Brackenridge High School.

Rosie married Miguel Delgado and they were blessed with two boys, Miguel, Jr. and Gabriel.  She was a full time, hands on mother, raising her boys with a strict hand but with lots of love.  She was the neighborhood mom, always watching, feeding and caring for the kids, but she didn’t play.  She said what she meant.  Rosie was a fighter too.  She was diagnosed with lupus and had heart issues but she fought on, she showed strength and courage in her time of struggle.  On Monday, December 12, 2022 she peacefully slept away.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Gonzales and Virginia Vivier Gonzales; brothers, Johnny and Lorenzo Gonzales.  She will be forever remembered by her sons, Miguel Delgado, Jr. and Gabriel Delgado; grandchildren. Natalie Salazar Delgado, Noah Delgado, Kenai Halsey Delgado, and Miguel Halsey Delgado, III; siblings, Arthur Gonzales, Gloria Hernandez, Norma Webster, Sammie Gonzales and Richard Gonzales along with other relatives and friends.
