Russell Vincent Ogle, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at the age of 88. He was born in New York, New York, on August 28, 1938, to Vincent H. Ogle and Alice M. Ogle.

Russell was a remarkable man whose greatest joy came from his family. For 65 years, he shared a loving and devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Ogle. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless cherished memories. Russell was an incredible husband and father who took great pride in caring for and providing for the people he loved. His kindness, determination, and devotion to his family were evident in all that he did.

A true overachiever, Russell had a natural ability to master anything he set his mind to. He was curious, capable, and never afraid to learn something new. Whether he was working with his hands, tinkering with something, chopping wood, or enjoying time outdoors, Russell approached everything with dedication and a desire to do it well.

Russell’s greatest accomplishment, however, was the family he created and the love he gave them. He will be remembered as a kind and dependable man, an incredible father, and a devoted husband whose presence brought strength and comfort to those around him. The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will remain with his family for generations to come.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent H. Ogle and Alice M. Ogle; and his sister, Dolores Nielson.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ogle; his sons, Robert Ogle his wife, Cody, William Ogle and his wife, Deborah; his daughter, Theresa Mullen and her husband, Michael. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth Ogle, sister Salley Meyer, Grandchildren Robert, Lee, and Alicia Ogle; Justin, and Colin Curl. Katie Reed, Rebecca Todd, Greg and Kevin Ogle, Laura Frias, Gwendolyn and Eric Perry, William and David Mullen and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with many others whose lives were touched by his kindness.

Russell will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family will carry his memory forward through the many lessons he taught, the moments they shared, and the enduring love he gave so freely throughout his life.

  2. CandleImageGrandpa Ogle,
My Dad has always loved me like I was his, and I believe that is a reflection of your love for him. I carry it now to my own bonus daughter. That is a multi-generational lesson in love that you started and we will carry forward. You are free now from the pain that held you back from all you loved. Rest easy Grandpa. Big hugs.
