Ruth Chaffin

Ruth Chaffin entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 94.  Born in Massachusetts in 1928, she was the youngest of 2 children, preceded by her late sister Jean.   She spent her childhood in Nova Scotia, Canada  & Plymouth, Massachusetts.  She loved the ocean.

Ruth worked for the First National Bank of Boston before getting married & raising a family.  She had 2 children, Kenneth & Karen, whom she loved very much.  She later joined Federal Civil Service, serving 21 years.  She worked with Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at  Randolph AFB, & later transferred to Air Force Command Chaplains Office.  After retiring from Hanscom AFB, Ruth started traveling.  Having been to many places, she especially loved England.  She also enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading & spending time with her family & cats.  She loved animals.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Karen & son Kenneth, nieces Susan & Debra, nephew Greg, & all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in Massachusetts at a later date.
