SFC Frank Raymond Piez

Frank Raymond Piez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on September 13, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born in Dalhart, Texas, on October 8, 1934, to Edward Piez and Lucille Mendez Springer.

Frank proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and dedicated many years of his career to serving with the Department of Defense before retiring.

Frank was a devoted husband to his loving wife of more than thirty years, Dr. Georgia Piez. He will be remembered for the life he shared with his family and the lasting memories he created throughout the years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Piez and Lucille Mendez Springer, and his son, Todd Piez.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Dr. Georgia Piez; his children, Gina and Wesley; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
