Shirley A. Williams was born October 3, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Sam Williams, Sr. and Willie Mae Williams.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Williams, Sr. and Willie Mae Williams; brother, Sam Williams, Jr.

Shirley’s job career started at the Blue Room Restaurant and from there to Tucker’s Cozy Corner and later to Burleson Liquor  Store.  She later started her own restaurant business and worked in Health Care.  Shirley’s restaurant was called Shirley’s Dinette.  She loved her customers, they were like family to her.  She was always there to support them and they did the same for her. Shirley spoke her mind. She was caring and just the smallest little thing meant a lot to her. Shirley enjoyed life with her daughter, son and family. She would go to New Jersey every summer. She loved when the holidays would come so she could put the men in check with the domino’s, Shirley would always talk smack on the table because she always planned to win.

My mother was a loving mother, if you were in need she was there to help you.  She wasn’t a selfish person.  She always quoted “don’t bring me flowers when I’m gone, bring me them while I’m alive.”  You will truly be missed by family and friends.

Love you, Helen

My mother had a heart of gold, always willing to help you as long as you were willing to help yourself.  She was the best mother anyone would want.  She gave you everything you would need and want.  I will miss talking to you everyday and especially on Sunday’s.  She could always count on that.  I enjoyed talking, laughing and joking on things we saw and heard.  She was loved in so many ways.  I will miss you mommy.

Love you, Bobo

  1. CandleImageDeepest, deepest condolences to her two children & family. She was a wonderful person. She is the reason I’m driving today. She made BoBo teach me in her new Monte Carlo. I’ll never forget her kindness towards me. I admired and adored her when I was growing up. Love you Ms. Shirley. Prayers to heaven. Thelma Turner Hill
