Sonya Cavanaugh Shuler, born June 24, 1932, was called home February 13, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sonya Cavanaugh; and her husband, Earnest Shuler. A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts, a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and we will never forget. She is survived by her son, Buddy (Cindy)Shuler; daughter, Mandy (Ric) Chaney; Grandchildren, David, Hank, Jessica, and Serena Shuler, Rici and Rivi Chaney; Special daughter's, Mary Jo Koett and Winnie Vetter; Also several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. The family would like to thank Normandy Terrace Nursing Home, especially the staff in The Lighthouse who lovingly took care of our mother and who became part of our family

Your Mom was a Precious Jewel and a positive influence on my life as we grew up together on Glad. I will always remember Sonya as a second mom in whom I could confide, close neighbor and dear friend.
