Ted Dean Johnson Jr. affectionally known as “Teddy” entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the age of 15. Teddy was a fun-loving son, brother and friend. He grew up running around his neighborhood with friends that he has known since he was young. Teddy was a freshman at Brennan High School and enjoyed playing football, he was number 45 as the cornerback for the team. On his off time, he would play his PS 5 games, eat pizza,  Popeyes and Whataburger. However, his brother-in-law was teaching him mechanic’s , they were working on his future car,  2008 Honda Civic. Teddy will be dealy missed by his family, friends and neighborhood family.

  1. CandleImageTed is my son’s good friend and teammate. I’ll never forget the joy he brought my son and myself one Sunday afternoon when he went with us to the high school to play catch. I asked my son, Luke, if had any friends that wanted to go and he instantly replied, “Ted of course”. They would run routes, defend each other, and run, run, run. Their energy was endless out there on that field. Aside from being so easily gassed, they made me feel 14 again and one of the boys. He will always be remembered in my household as a joy maker. We miss you, Pal, and save us a spot on the field. We’ll see you there one day.

  4. CandleImageSister will always love you. You were like my son. I remember the 1st time I held you in my arms and looking into your eyes knowing you were going to make a difference in the world. You had a heart of gold and even went around town giving back to the community for those in need during Christmas. You will always hold a special place in my heart my Angel. Love you Teddy

    Sister will always love you and you will always hold a special place in my heart. You were like my own son and I still remember the day you were born. I’m sad that you left us so soon at only 15 years old but only God knows why. I will always remember your heart of gold. May you rest in peace.

  6. CandleImageYou may have not known me for long but you have shown me how to be a better father and brother and gave me the opportunity to pass my passion onto you. We never got a chance to finish your car but it will be done and one day I will make it the way you would have. I wish I had known you from when you were little and watch you grow into the young man you were but I am glad I got to know your kind heart. You will always be in my thoughts and we will meet again one day.

  7. CandleImageWhen I came over Tiffany’s house all the boys would call me 👵 Grandma. Teddy just looked up at me then looked back down I said. Teddy can you come over here, he said sure. I said you can call me Grandma to. I would really like it. He had the biggest smile then I said give your Grandma a 💙 hug. I will really miss you honey.

  8. Baby Teddy, I still remember the day your sister and I went to see you the day you were born. A beautiful baby boy ! You filled your Dads heart with happiness. Your sister was so proud to have such beautiful baby brother. Teddy, you brought light into people’s lives and I know that your light will continue to shine down from heaven … your true one. We will see you later baby Teddy . Please watch over your Daddy and be his protective Angel. Love you Teddy !
