Theodore 'Ted' Manzano, born April 3, 1920 in Tulsa, Okalhoma died on Friday, August 24, 2007 of a heart attack. Raised in Brownsville, Texas, he attended George Wasington University and graduated from the University of Texas, served in the Navy and was an interpreter for the State Department in Wasington, D.C. for 27 years. He retired to San Antonio in the early 1980's. He is survived by brothers Edward Manzano, Jr. and Gabriel A. Manzano, and sister, Elena Julia Manzano-Lusk; sisters-in-law, Maria Mufioz Manzano, Millie Pina Manzano and Rosalie Orta Manzano; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Mariano Manzano, his sister, Rafaela 'Vi' Manzano Alviar and by his parents. There will be a memorial service and mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Place, San Antonio, TX 78228 at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 8th. Immediately following the mass, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, a brief reception will be held at the St. Paul Community Center Annex Room, which is located 3 blocks from the church at the corner of Donaldson and St. Cloud St.
