COMMENTS:
I have fond memories of dad being a hard worker but always finding time for the family. often on Sunday evenings, he would take us for a ride in the countryside or boating at Brackenridge Park and things like these –Thomas
He loved me and he knew that I loved him—Joyce
Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he shared, the memories we cherished and the love he gave will remain with us forever. His legacy lives on in the family. He devoted his life to the values, he instilled in each of us. He will be deeply missed. Lovely remembered. “Coca Cola and big band music”—Anthony
He loved us–Larry
He never became a Jehovah’s Witness, but he did come to know Jehovah by means of his wife and his six children. He was a kind and honest man. He loved his family and was a good provider. He enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved the creation. He enjoyed looking at birds. He also enjoyed studying plants, flowers and trees. He was fully aware that there was a creator of all these things. He came to know that the creators name is Jehovah—Carl
My dad was an amazing provider and protector. He seldom told me that he loved me, but he always showed that he did. He was not a man of many words, but what he spoke taught me basic vital life lessons. He taught me not to take life, relationships or people for granted. He taught me to enjoy life to the full within the bible’s laws and principle. He taught me to work hard while listening to music, to live honestly. He always made me feel that I was the best, but no better than anyone else. He taught me to make a good name for myself and the family–Kenneth

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Johnson family. My father Nehemiah Williams, was a co-worker at Kelly Field Air Force Base, with Mr Johnson, for many years. My dad was born in Sutherland Springs, which was not far from Cuero, and growing up, he would always share stories of their “Country Life”.
My deepest sympathy to deacon Johnson’s family. Deacon Johnson was a Christian servant at Second Baptist and community. We were in the same sUnday school class and he always brought Bible wisdom to the class. Will also miss seeing him at HEB and Sam’s.

Uncle Tom, You were are delight to be around! All your wisdom and knowledge was a blessing! Your mind was so sharp! We enjoyed listening to you talk. You lived a long and good life. Your legacy lies within us forever.
Condolences, love and prayers to the Johnson family.
May your precious memories stay in your hearts and keep you strong! Jehovah is near to the brokenhearted and he will give you all the strength to endure.
With Love
Deacon Johnson was not only a faithful servant of Second Baptist Church, but also a dear friend and mentor to me. As a new Deacon, I was honored to serve alongside him on the Deacon Board. On first Sundays, we worked together taking Communion and visiting members who were sick and shut in. Through his example, kindness, and dedication, I learned so much about serving God’s people.
Even after illness prevented him from attending church, our conversations remained meaningful. He always asked about my family—my children and grandchildren—and showed genuine care and concern for others. I will truly miss our talks and the wisdom he shared.
May the Johnson family be comforted by the love, legacy, and faithful service he leaves behind. I pray that Deacon Thomas Johnson’s soul rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord forever.
With sincere sympathy and prayers,
Thomas Washington, Katyna Washington and family
Although my wife, Twila and I never officially met Thomas Johnson, we feel like we knew him well. His son, Ken Johnson and wife, Teri are close friends of ours. Ken shared many touching and memorable things about his dad with us. He even took Twila and I to his Dad’s farm in Cuero to spend a day and pet and feed the cows! We’ll share this with Kens dad when he is resurrected (Acts 24:15)
To The Johnson Family:
(My Family)
For the past 58 years (my entire life)
Mr. Johnson (Johnson family) has been as constant as the fig tree by the garage. 😊
During that time, he was my neighbor, fellow church member and one of my trusted mentors (who enjoyed classic jazz as much me)
Most of all, I am thankful for the Blessing and Privilege of calling him/y’all my Family.
On behalf of the Haywood Family, you have our eternal love and deepest sympathy. Please know the depth of how much your family means to ours. We love you.
Sincerely,
David Norcell Haywood
Gregory and Debra Threat and family,
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Johnson
Thomas was my schoolmate at Daule High School, Cuero, Tx. We reconnected at my brother’s funeral in 2019 and exchanged phone numbers. From that day on we had a glorious time reminiscing about old times, friends and people that we knew. I really miss you Tom. You were the only one left to remember my Nickname. Tutter. Erma Lucas James
May you and your family stay strong Kenny! I never met your father (Mr. Thomas Henry Johnson) except for a few seconds on the phone and how much he knew and shared of his direct knowledge of the Minor family ancestors. He has been and continues to be an absolute treasure and wealth of knowledge to the memories of our Minor family. God Bless You!
My heartfelt condolences to the Johnson family. My mother, Eliza Williams Battles and Mr. Johnson were classmates, as well as childhood neighbors in Clinton, TX. I was fortunate to be in his presence and talk with him on different occasions and he was such a nice, friendly gentleman, and always remembered me as one of Nudie’s daughters. RIP Tom Johnson
Mr. Johnson was a very kind and caring person. He contacted me faithfully to ensure my sister and her family were safe during Florida weather storms. He never met them but yet he was concerned and kept them in his prayers.
His desire to help and pray for others was appreciated.
To the Jonson family, our sincerest condolences on the passing of your father/grandfather. The last of the generation. Thank you for allowing us to join the funeral service through zoom. We wish that we could’ve been there in person. Love, your cousin, Marlon & his partner, Ian
