Vanessa Denise Bowie

Vanessa Denise Bowie was born on January 29, 1972 to Ruth Florestine Thomas and Isaac Thomas Sr. She was the youngest of their nine children.

As a young child, Vanessa attended Smith Elementary, Poe Middle School, and both Fox Tech and Highlands High School.

Vanessa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family meant the world to her. She was so proud of her daughters: Jazmine and Alisha, and totally in love with her youngest grandson, Bakari. He was probably the only person that she loved more than her husband Arnold.

Vanessa says goodbye to her husband, Arnold Bowie of 32 years, her daughters: Jazmine Bowie, Alisha Bowie, son: Michael Bowie; her grandchildren: Bakari Brume, Mykayle Bowie, and Ari Harper; she also leaves cherished memories with her siblings: Lane Lewis, Debra Conway, Dana Hamilton, Terry Lewis, Ernest Cochran, Issac Thomas Jr., Linzy Thomas, Sheila Sullivan, and Rachel Thomas; and numerous other close family and friends.

Vanessa will forever remain in our hearts.
