Veronica's beautiful spirit went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2004 as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident.
Veronica was a wonderful daughter and a loving mother. She was the daughter of Norman Dean, Sr., Karlynn Dean Walters and Lawrence L. Walters. She also leaves three daughters, Brittany, Jazmin and Monique and 2 brothers, Norman Jr. and Christopher.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27th at 6:00pm at the Lewis Funeral Home, 811 S. W.W. White Rd. Services will be held Wednesday, July 28th at 11:00am from True Vision Baptist Church, located at 5814 Rittiman Plaza, San Antonio. Tx. Rev. Michael Steve Brown, officiating. Interment will take place at MeadowLawn Memorial Park, 5611 E. Houston St.

This unfortunate tragedy has very much so effected our family. Speaking as a member of this family, I for one am truly filled with sorrow and yet a kind of comfort. This comfort comes from knowing that my dear cousin has past away from this earth only to have journeyed into the greater depths of spiritual life we know as heaven. Thus we must live on only cherishing the good memories rather than the bad.
I realize that no amount of words can make up for your loss but I am honored to say that I am truly blessed to have known Veronica. She was that light you sought in the midst of the dark. No matter how grim the situation; she always sought the silver lining amongst the darkest clouds, the positive in all of the negative; she made you realize what was important in life and and sometimes I don’t even think she realized how much she was helping you, it ws just her nature; that’s what made her so special. She will be truly missed and myself and my family would like to express our deepest condolences. We love you all very much and you will always be in our prayers.

Dear Karlynn and Lawrence, I am finding my job tougher these days because as I get older, I am burying my friends. Ronnie’s service and tribute was beautiful and you can see how many friends she had by the size of her service. I want to thank you for your friendship over the years and for letting me be a part of Ronnie’s tribute. It seems like just a short time ago, she was talking to Mary about working at the Bright Shawl. Also, thanks for being such a good and important friend to Sherrie. She thinks the world of you.
