Vicente M. De La Rosa Sr., beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 68 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife Christine Castillo De La Rosa, children Vicente Castillo De La Rosa Jr. and Crystal Marie De La Rosa (Dannie Ray Barron Jr.), and granddaughters Vicari De La Rosa and Camilla Belle De La Rosa.

Born on January 9, 1956, in Pleasanton, Texas, Vicente was the son of Felix A. De La Rosa Sr. and Felipa M. De La Rosa (both preceded in death). Vicente was a source of joy and warmth in the lives of many. He had a natural talent for making friends wherever he went, and his smile could light up any room. He will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter and humor. His gift for connecting with others and his ability to make people feel welcomed and valued will be remembered by all who knew him.

As a devoted husband to Christine, Vicente exemplified love and partnership. Together, they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage filled with countless special moments. As a father to Vicente Jr. and Crystal Marie, he was a guiding light, imparting wisdom and joy while inspiring them to pursue their dreams. His love extended to his six siblings, ten brothers and sisters-in-laws, and a vast extended family, each of whom cherished his adventurous spirit and unwavering support.

Vicente had a passion for family, fishing, dancing, barbequing, camping, long drives, helping others, convivial moments, and making memories. He cherished summers by the water, surrounded by family and friends, which highlighted his zest for life and love for adventure.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, granddaughters, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives he touched.

Acts 24:15 “And I have hope towards God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous.”
