Wendell Wilson

wendell wilson
Wendell Wilson was born September 1, 1946 to Lee Vester Wilson and Nettie Mae Hogues in Sherman, Texas. At and early age his family moved to San Antonio, Texas where he lived with his Aunt and Uncle Quinton and Roxana (Hogues) Prade. Wendell graduated from Wheatley High School in 1963. Wendell worked for the Checker Cab Co. for several years. Wendell was a very gentle, spiritual, charming and friendly man, always smiling and easy to be around. All who had the privilege of knowing him fell in love with him. Wendell will be missed. He leaves to mourn his Aunt, Roxana Prade, Uncle Quinton Prade, two sisters: Cynthia Brannon of Portland, Oregon and Kim White, two brothers: John White and Donnie White, cousins, Lela Randle, Roxana Renfro, Lillian Prade, Timothy Prade, Vicente Prade and Quinton Prade and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves his dear friends, Mr. Dwite Rover, Margaret Bee, Nias Harris and San Antonio AIDS Foundation.

Guestbook

  1. The staff members of the San Antonio AIDS Foundation are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend Wendell. He was a joy to have as one of our residents. He was always so grateful for any small gesture someone would do for him. Always ready to give you a smile and a hello. He loved his treats, cigarettes, cookies/crackers, and soda, all of which were bad for him and therefore limited. While we are sad for our loss, we celebrate that he went out of this world quickly, painlessly and having enjoyed life to its fullest. Happily he had just enjoyed several cigarettes and some cheese crackers just before he died. We will deeply miss.
