Wesley Roland Scot, 62, of San Antonio, passed away on October 7, 2021. Wesley was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 13, 1958. He graduated from Fox Technical High School in June 1978. Wesley was married to Corita Lanell Johnson on February 14, 1985, they were married 36 years.
He worked as a Floor Tech for many years until his recent retirement. He played the guitar for over 40 years in a number of different bands, most recently alongside his brother, Douglas Vaughn. He was a very active member in his church, where he accepted the Lord as Savior at a young age. He enjoyed spending time with his 5 grandchildren and fur-grands and he would do just about anything he could for them.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie B. Scott and Junie M. Scott; sister, Edna J. Scruggs (Allen Scruggs); brother, Robert Scott; son, Healry H. White and niece, Angela Scruggs.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Corita Lanell Scott; daughters, Teatrice L. Tennon (Todd) and Kayla E. McKenzie (Corwin); grandchildren, Charles C. Benson, III, DeLavion “DJ” McKenzie, Tyreese D. Tennon, Jamari A. McKenzie, Gabrielle “Gabi” E. McKenzie; niece, Tarsha Grant; God-brother, Douglass Vaughn; God-sister, Jamesetta Fontennette; cousins, Mark Webb and Wanda Scott and a host of family and friends.
