William “Bill” Lovelace was born in San Antonio, Texas to his parents, Margaret Garrett and William Russell Lovelace April 21, 1954. Bill gained his wings September 22, 2021 at the tender age of 67. Bill was best described as a lighthearted, carefree soul that touched the lives of those that had the privilege of meeting him. Bill often enjoyed fishing at the nearby creek behind the house. He was an avid Bicycle rider, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys fan, staying true to his Texas roots. Any place he needed to go, he went on his bike, which he upgraded every few years. Bill made the very best carrot cake and was also a terrific cook, creating countless dishes his family enjoyed. He was also an expert when it came to barbecue and smoking various meats. Bill took great pride in his lawn care service, he never hesitated to help a neighbor or friend when they were in need of assistance. Friends and neighbors looked forward to Bill stopping by to visit as he would ride through the neighborhood. Bill was always good company, there was always laughter. Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his sister Connie Chavez, two brothers, John and David Lovelace, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

  1. I first remember Bill in high school. We were in the same math class. Over the years we became good friends as I was always needing some help with a project at my Dad’s house across the river. Bill was one heck of a cook and had a green thumb too. Every time I would talk to his Mom, Margaret, she would go on and on telling me what Bill had cooked and how great it was. Bill kept their yard so nice and was always planting something new. Bill always had a smile and a story to share. Our loss is certainly heaven’s gain. Miss you, Bill!
