William J. Glass was born in Calera Alabama. No one called him William, to family and friends he is known by Jake.
Jake had a great career as a Brick Masonry and built a lot of amazing buildings in the South Texas Region. He had a big heart and a gentle spirit. Jake loved his music and had a passion for fishing. He was a member of the Men's Auxiliary at VFW Post 837 where he enjoyed his friends, music and Friday night Bingo. Jake has moved to his new home where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more tears he has joined the dear Lord. Jake will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jake is survived by his very dear friend Pamela Garcia; children, William Glass, Ricky Glass, Matt Glass, Julie Glass; brothers Henry Glass, Bo Glass and his sister Doris Glass along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. We all will dearly miss you Jake!

So sorry to hear about my uncle Jake’s passing. I know he suffered for a long time. My thoughts and prayers are with my precious family as you all grieve this loss. Although I haven’t been able to see him in recent years, I have many sweet memories of him from my childhood visits to San Antonio. May God give us all his comfort and peace in the coming days.
My heart and prayers go out to Jake and his family. I had the pleasure of caring , and getting to know him. I enjoyed the talks we had and many great memories. I’m glad I was able to speak to you a few days before you became an Angel. You will always be in my heart Jake. Teresa Ruelas
