It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Zachary
Fisher, who left us on January 1, 2025 at the age of 22 years old. Zach was a beloved son,
brother, and friend whose life was marked by a vibrant love, that of which will never be
forgotten.
Though his life was marked by challenges, Zach lived with an unwavering spirit and infectious
positivity. His enthusiasm for gaming and all things nerd culture was unmatched—whether it
was exploring fantasy worlds in Dungeons & Dragons, binge-watching the latest anime series,
or adding to his Funko Pop collection. Despite his disability, Zach maintained an inspiring
attitude toward life, never allowing his circumstances to define him. His sense of humor,
infectious laughter, and kind heart made him a constant source of light to those lucky enough
to know him. His capacity for kindness was endless, and he showed love in abundance—
whether through a kind word, an encouraging gesture, or a passionate conversation about the
latest game release.
In a world that often feels too complicated, Zach knew how to bring joy in the simplest
moments. He reminded everyone around him that attitude was everything, and his positive
outlook continues to be a shining example of strength, resilience, and love. His presence will
be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught us about enjoying life and loving without limits
will live on forever.
Zach is survived by his Mother Soine Fisher, Siblings Sandra Jean Fisher, Ajay Valdillez, Kala
Michelle Stone Williams, Elvis Fisher, Marina Fisher, Diana Fisher, and Zilah Fisher, as well as
grandmothers Sandra Lane, Joanna Fisher, and nephews Daxtyn and Kannon. He is preceded in
death by his father Buster Fisher, as well as brother Javier Cavasas, and grandparents
Lawrence Lane, Elvis Fisher, and Douglas and Patsy Slaybaugh. His family and friends take
comfort in knowing that his spirit, love for life, and unwavering joy will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Zachary’s life will be held on January 11 at 11 AM at Journey Fellowship
(16847 I-35, Selma, TX 78154), where we will come together to remember the man who filled
our lives with laughter, fun, and unrelenting kindness. We encourage all who knew him to
share their stories and memories of the times he brought light into their lives.
Rest in peace, Zach. You will always be loved, remembered, and forever missed.
