In Loving Memory of Wade Andrew Trinidad (“Wadey”)

Wade Andrew Trinidad, affectionately known as “Wadey” by his parents, family, and all who loved him, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the tender age of two.

Though his time on earth was far too short, his life was a precious gift from God, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those blessed to know him.

Wade Andrew was lovingly named after his Uncle Jameson Wade Foster, a special tribute that carried deep meaning for his family. His middle name, Andrew, was also shared with his father, Wyatt Andrew Trinidad, and his grandfather, Andrew Charles Trinidad, making his name a meaningful connection to the generations of family who loved him.

From the moment he entered this world, Wadey brought joy, love, and light to everyone around him. Despite the challenges he faced, he displayed a remarkable spirit and a personality all his own. His nurses and therapists quickly came to know his sassy attitude and determined nature, traits that often brought smiles and laughter to those caring for him.

Wadey loved being wrapped in his soft, fuzzy blankets, where he felt comforted, safe, and loved. One of the sweetest bonds Wadey shared was with his parents. No matter where they were in the room, Wadey always recognized their voices, a special connection that brought him peace, comfort, and happiness. He also found comfort in the strength of his father’s arms, where he felt secure, protected, and deeply loved. He loved his mommy’s kisses.

He also cherished spending time with his parents and creating special memories together. One treasured memory was attending his very first Texas A&M football game, an experience his family will always hold close to their hearts.

Wadey’s family made countless beautiful memories with him, including a magical trip to Disney, where he got to see his favorite character, Mickey Mouse. His bright eyes and joyful spirit made every moment unforgettable. Wadey had a sweet tooth and especially loved grape-flavored lollipops, which never failed to bring him pleasure.

Wadey’s life also brought many special people into the lives of those who loved him. Through his journey, he brought us his Uncle Jared, Auntie Miranda, (some of our closest friends) and his little bestie Penelope, who shared a similar diagnosis. Their friendship, understanding, and support became a treasured blessing to our family and a reminder that even in the most difficult circumstances, God places people in our lives exactly when we need them most.

Although Wadey’s journey on earth was brief, the impact he made was immeasurable. His courage, sweetness, and loving spirit touched the lives of family, friends, caregivers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While his loved ones grieve his absence, they find comfort in knowing that this precious child has returned to the loving arms of God.

As his first therapist so beautifully stated, “Wadey’s life mattered deeply, and the world feels far more empty today.”

As his parents, we believe the miracle in all of this was the time we were given with him. Every cuddle, every challenge, every milestone, and every moment spent loving Wadey was a gift. Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we are forever grateful for the two precious years we were blessed to call him our son.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Winnie Trinidad; his beloved uncle, Jameson Wade Foster; and his two grandfathers.

Wadey’s life reminds us that it is not the length of time we are given that matters most, but the love we share and the lives we touch. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his parents, Katelyn Elaine and Wyatt Andrew Trinidad; maternal grandmother, Holly Leighton; paternal grandparents, Sylvia and Andrew Trinidad; uncles, Dwayne Foster and Phil Leighton; aunt, Britlyn Dove; and all family and friends who loved him.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
— Matthew 19:14

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.

“Wade into deeper waters.”
