Frank J. Bazan was born November 22, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away at the age of 86 on February 14, 2025 at Parklane West Nursing Home in San Antonio, Texas.
Frank learned early on in life he wanted to join the military, he liked the uniforms and being “in charge”. He lived a life of service as an army sergeant, and later a police officer in Junction City, Kansas. He loved to travel, and had a particular love of Germany, where he was stationed for four years and has two living nieces there. He was named “Junction City Policeman of the Year” in 1970. He loved to read, mostly military history, listen to Tejano music and work on crossword puzzles. He practiced Buddhism, which he converted to in 1966, while stationed in Korea. He was a quiet introvert who loved his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children, Mark, Christine, Kristin and Lauren; five grandchildren, DeAngelo, Leilani, Aaron, Matthew and Rand; two sisters, Olivia and Lupe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Olivia and brother, Jerry.
Memorial service details to come. The family would like to thank all those who offered their love and support during this difficult time. A special thanks to Danny and Betty Corona, who cared for Frank during the last few years of his life.
