Gerald (Jerry) Thomas Weare was born in San Antonio, TX on September 1, 1938. He passed away in his hometown August 4, 2014 of natural causes. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Sabre Sarabia and Tandy Weare; grandson, Carl Hernadez; sisters, Fuchia Reed, Eleanor Williamson, Katherine Field; and brother, Myron Weare. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. and Erma Ellis Weare; sisters, Betty Vaughan Blackburn and Pauline Grouman. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday August 20, 2014 at MeadowLawn Funeral Home (5611 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78220). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate) in Jerry's name.
