October 27, 1918 ~ February 20, 2005
Marjorie Helen Maynard Thornton, passed away February 20th, 2005 after several years of declining health. Born Oct.27, 1918 in Idaho, she lived in California with her family. Marjorie was a war bride who met and in three days married her husband, Robert D. Thornton. Marjorie worked in the ladies apparel dept. at Joske's but was most remembered as a mall walker at Westlakes Mall. She would walk from her apartment, have lunch at Luby's and visit with the merchants at Westlakes. She had many friends and loved to travel, once living in Panama for several years. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Eileen Blanchard and grandchildren; David Blanchard and Heather Blanchard.
